Yesterday some of our English club member met Sondra: isthe friend of Sara, and we talked much about their project and how can the English club get in Spotlight. Blog workshop on Flickr:
Nari jibon blogdol arranged blog workshop on Friday (20.06.08). Venezuelan journalish and photo blogger Ms. Kira Kariakar, Mr. Shawn ahmed of Uncultured project, Prof. Dr. Kathryn B. Ward (Executive Director nari jibon project), Ms. Shaina Haider (Visiting English teacher/researcher (Nari Jibon) and under graduate student Florida University USA) were present in the meeting. 40 students and 13 staff attended the workshop. In the workshop Ms Kira told the staff/students/bloggers about the importance of photo blogging, flickr account etc.
In discussion on Flickr she told us that Flickr is a photo management and sharing application. We can use flickr to store pictures for our personal private use, to share them with our friends/family, to aid us blogging, to establish communities with friends and family and to pursue an interest through communities. Diana finally announced that Baby Kamba was safe. After one week of many attempts to practice the final surgery and because Kamba was too weak, the surgeons finally succeed in this 8 hours very dangerous procedure. Dizains of bloggers sent mails and relayed the news few minutes after on their blogs.
Stephane was happy about his pupil Diana's progress in blogging and Citizen Media! After days of intensive stress when we made Diana got back home to rest a little and pass her exams at the School of Journalism, she became very independant and published daily updates on the baby with pictures, articles and even a podcast ! First Anniversary of Nari Jibon blog Project :
Nari Jibon blog dol celebrated 1st anniversary of blogging project on May,24,2008. Most of the staff and some students (25) attended the program where one year of NJ blogging activities was discussed and high lighted its problems, success and what to do etc. Program director asked the staff/students to give their best effort in blogging, recruiting bloggers, editing, posting and continue to write more on the blogs etc.

The amazing movement to support Diana's personal initiative to help the little baby from Majunga is one of Malagasy blogosphere first try to team together. The chatroom scheduled on May 3rd was attented by 5 bloggers who will be committed full-time on this task. We chose to let Diana decide on the strategies and just give her our advices and material support. Of course Diana will keep on posting about the ups and downs of her ground actions.

His trip to Majunga is being planned by Foko at the moment (let us remind you guyz that Majunga is about 500km from Antananarivo and Stephane wants to make a 2-day trip by car...!!)
